Assistant Professor Meredith Miller and Dr. Etienne Turpin, the co-founders and principals of the Architecture + Adaptation: Design for Hypercomplexity research initiative have been awarded two grants through the Center for the Southeast Asian Studies and the Thai Studies Committee that will fund their ongoing design research in Bangkok, Thailand, and support their INUNDATION 2 spring studio. Professor Miller and Dr. Turpin received awards to support a faculty collaboration for their forthcoming project with StudioMake, Rangsit University, and Habitat for Humanity Thailand, as well as to support further faculty-led research along the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. These grants are made possible by the Amnuay-Samonsri Viravan Endowment for Thai Studies, housed at the University of Michigan. Professor Miller and Dr. Turpin are grateful for the continued support from the Amnuay-Samonsri Viravan Endowment for Thai Studies and the Center for Southeast Asian Studies. Their INUNDATION 2 studio begins in Bangkok, Thailand on 15 May, 2013.
